Magellan Power Solar Gate is designed to help those with large solar installations keep the energy they generate, for their own use. The product monitors the power demand of a local load and commands grid inverters to produce power equal to the local demand, in order to avoid injection of solar power into the grid.
The Solar Gate can also facilitate utilisation of the unused available power by switching on auxiliary (non-essential) loads. The device is small enough to fit within a switchboard and is compatible with popular inverter brands.
Features include: accuracy of 2% for smooth power control; plug-and-play capability allows the product to ascertain the number of connected inverters and their ratings to ensure equal power distribution; output signal to switch on non-essential fixed loads; RS485 connection to inverters; and remote enable/disable (ramp up/ramp down) function.
