MSI Eco Series EV charging range

MSI’s Eco Series is a wall-mounted EV-charging range designed for Australian homes and commercial spaces.

The range includes two home and two commercial models. The home models — the Eco Life and Eco Premium Home — feature AutoCharge vehicle recognition and app-based scheduling via the MSI aConnect app. The Premium home model has a 5-inch LCD display showing real-time voltage, amperage, session duration and energy delivered (kWh), giving full visibility over every session.

The commercial models have OCPP 1.6J networking, Modbus solar integration, optional 4G connectivity, and multi-user authentication for strata, fleet and commercial deployments. They coordinate directly with solar inverters to draw from rooftop generation throughout the day.

All four models support both single-phase (7 kW) and three-phase (22 kW) power from the same unit. This adaptability is designed to future-proof installations regardless of switchboard upgrades, renovations or change of property. The models are also IP65/IK08-rated, EESS-certified, built with UL94 V-0 flame-retardant materials and backed by a three-year warranty.

Home models ship with a 7.5-metre tethered Type 2 cable and three-directional conduit entry (top, bottom or rear). Installers can route conduit from whichever direction suits the wall and switchboard position. The cable is designed to be long enough to reach any vehicle charging port without the driver needing to reposition.

The Eco Series meets Australia’s National Construction Code, which has required new apartment, retail and commercial car parks to be EV-ready since 2022. Its UL94 V-0 flame-retardant construction means casing materials self-extinguish within 10 seconds under abnormal overheating, reducing fire-propagation risk. RDC-DD leakage detection automatically cuts power if current exceeds safe thresholds.
