The 25.836 GX 8.5-style lamp holder, manufactured by BJB, has been designed to accommodate the Philips CDM-R 111 compact, high-pressure discharge lamp (HID) fitted with an aluminium reflector.
The holder was designed to provide visual unity with the lamp, using an aluminium laminate that is moulded like a second skin around the connector and coordinated with the appearance of the reflector. The entire system appears to have been made all in one piece.
The lamp holder features a made-to-measure GX 8.5 ‘twist and lock’ connector, which provides a simple and secure electrical contact for the HID lamp, because the lamp and lamp holder are intended for use in light fittings where they are freely suspended.
