Wednesday, 16 December, 2009 | Supplied by: Switched On Innovations Pty Ltd

The GE Tetra PowerStrip is designed to be a replacement for fluorescent tubes that are used in single- and double-sided illuminated box signs.

The LEDs produce a light output of 249 Lumens per module and are available in 4100K (cool white) and 6500K (daylight white) colours, making them suitable for cost- and energy-efficient shelf and cove lighting.

The fittings are claimed to reduce power consumption by up to 83% compared to T12 fluorescents and have an operating life of up to four times that of fluorescents, warranted for 35,000 hours continuous opperation.

The single-sided fitting is a 12 V system, while the double-sided unit is a 24 V system.
