Master Builders Association recognises registered trades

Friday, 20 August, 2010

Master Builders Association of Victoria (MBAV) has recently launched a new category of membership - the Master Tradesman - for properly qualified and registered trades in the construction industry.

MBAV Membership Manager Dom Butera explains: “Master Tradesman provides registered trades with true recognition in the building industry, as distinct from the ‘construction cowboys’. Master Tradesmen will be seen as the best in the industry, correctly registered, properly qualified and members of the construction industry’s most recognised association - Master Builders.

Master Tradesmen have their own brand and will be marketed by Master Builders Association as true trade professionals to all consumers, builders and developers across Victoria to tap into job referrals from the MBAV jobs board and other sources, such as Service Central.

Master Tradesmen will have access to all Master Builders support services including industry training, free legal advice, OHS support and technical advice.

The Master Tradesman brand represents a fresh opportunity for contractors to win new work, network with other Master Builders and to grow their business.

Trades currently registered as a Domestic Builder-Limited (DB-L) or equivalent registration for cablers, electricians and plumbers are qualified to apply to become a Master Tradesman.

Details of the Master Tradesman program are available from the MBAV website www.mbav.com.au or by calling (03) 9411 4552.
