The Yamasaki VM007 FibreSpy video scope is designed for safe inspection of live optical networks. It allows a clear view of an end-face or ports in an optical fibre network through the use of a video camera. The images are displayed on a backlit LCD screen and can be connected to a computer for closer observation and saving screen shots.

One of the biggest causes of signal loss in optical networks is due to dirty connections. The video scope is the safest method for inspecting live optical fibres or laser ports, as it ensures that dirty connectors and ports are identified and cleaned. It is a handheld portable device, suitable for use out in the field for any signal loss.

The video scope features: 200x and 400x magnification; 3.5” backlit LCD screen; -10 ~ +50°C operating temperature; -20 ~ +10°C storage temperature; 12 V rechargeable battery or DC 12 V adapter; battery life of >6 h continuous use; and dimensions of 205 (L) x 94 (W) x 25 (H) mm.
