Sifos Technologies MPD-600 Multi-PD Evaluating PSE

The Sifos Technologies MPD-600 is an advanced Power over Ethernet (PoE) powered device (PD) evaluation platform designed to simplify compliance testing, qualification and troubleshooting of IEEE 802.3at and 802.3bt devices. Built for engineering labs, manufacturing environments and field service applications, the MPD-600 is designed to provide a comprehensive one-box solution that replaces multiple test instruments including PoE injectors, cable spools, DC power supplies, breakout boards and power meters.

The compact 1RU platform can evaluate up to six powered devices simultaneously, supporting all PoE Classes 0 through 8 with more than 480 W total power capacity and over 80 W available per port. Users can select operating voltages of 43, 49 or 55 V to simulate long, medium and short network cable conditions while validating device performance under real-world operating scenarios.

A key differentiator of the MPD-600 is its ability to automatically monitor and detect critical PoE compliance issues, including inrush current violations, overload conditions, transient power events and Maintain Power Signature (MPS) failures. Advanced Group Interop testing evaluates power demotion behaviour, signature validity and power loading compliance across multiple devices concurrently.

The platform also includes automation capabilities through its Windows and Linux software environment, intuitive MPD Interactive software, and programmable API support. With integrated 10/100/1000Base-T connectivity, IP address discovery, detailed diagnostics and real-time power monitoring, the MPD-600 is designed to deliver a faster, more accurate, standards-based approach to PoE device verification and qualification.
