Precision current shunt set

The A40B precision current shunt set is a range of precision devices designed to make precision current measurements. The set comprises 14 low-inductance coaxial current shunts, adapters, connectors and a rugged transit/storage case.

Designed for currents from 1 mA to 100 A, the shunts are used to directly measure absolute AC or DC current measurements as well as AC/DC current transfer measurements.

The shunts enable direct measurement of current with high accuracy because of their resistance value stability and low temperature coefficient.

Users can make precision measurements in a single step process, rather than by more complex traditional AC/DC transfer methods.

The physical construction and the components used ensure a flat frequency response (amplitude displacement error relative to DC resistance). With high DC resistance stability, the shunts can be used to directly measure current through their full bandwidth.

The shunts are suitable for traditional precision current applications such as calibrator verification. The low phase shift error is critical for measuring non-sinusoidal wave shapes, as found in power quality or sampling digital wattmeter measurement applications.
