The ScopeMeter 225C and 215C test tools perform verification of electrical signal quality on industrial buses like Fieldbus, CANbus, Profibus and Modbus.

The instruments validate critical signal parameters like amplitude and noise and have floating and fully isolated inputs for true differential signal measurements on 2-wire differential bus systems to verify the electrical integrity of bus and network.

Bus health test analyses electrical signals on the bus and gives a ‘good’, ‘weak’ or ‘bad’ mark for each parameter, next to the actual measured value. Measured values are compared to standard values based on the bus type selected. Errors like improper cable connections, bad contacts, incorrect grounding and missing or superfluous terminators can be identified.

The colour screen shows the individual parameters with validation, actual measured value, minimum and maximum values recorded over time and reference values used for the validation.

Activity indicators tell users that the data flow is ongoing and stop flashing when communication halts. Basic electrical tests like copper resistance and isolation can also be performed on an electrical system or cable.
