Digital earth tester

Thursday, 24 April, 2008 | Supplied by: Power Parameters Pty Ltd

The Gossen Metrawatt GEOHM 5 earth tester measures selective earth and earth resistance, soil resistivity and TRMS current via an optional clip-on meter.

Earth resistance is measured via a four-earth spike method. This method also applies to resistivity and selective earth resistance measurements.

Measuring voltage is 40 V and measuring frequency is 125/150 Hz. Measuring ranges vary from 0 to 100W (two-clip method) to 0 to 19.99 kW (four-pole measurement).

The instrument offers data storage for up to 1000 measurements, data interface to a PC and optional software for PC-based report generation.
