The CYHCT-C2E range of open loop Hall effect current transducers are designed for DC current measurement with ranges from 300 to 1000 A. Typical applications include uninterruptible power supplies, welders, electroplating rectifiers and DC drive systems.
The devices are electrically isolated from the current carrying conductor and impose no insertion loss. They also have a split core to facilitate easy installation onto existing systems.
The sensors are claimed to be accurate within +/- 1% and have a high current overload capability, typically thirteen times their nominal current.
