AFL Telecommunications Noyes M200 OTDR
AFL Telecommunications’ Noyes M200 is a lightweight optical time-domain reflectometer (OTDR) used for testing multimode (850/1310 nm) and singlemode (1310/1550 nm) wavelengths. The M200 is suitable for Tier 2 testing of premises (building and campus) networks or certification and troubleshooting of FTTX PON networks. The bright and transflective display makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.
The M200 is based on a new hardware/software platform that supports automatic and manual setup, precision event analysis, dual-wavelength testing, fibre identification using Noyes TR test receivers, rich file naming and folder setup, six-hour battery life, internal and removable media data storage, and USB connectivity. Test ports are equipped with tool free adapters, which can be changed in seconds.
The M200, which has a custom-designed polycarbonate case and shock-absorbing boot, stores all firmware and user preferences on internal non-volatile memory. The unit may be stored, unpowered, with battery removed, for an unlimited period of time and still be up and running in seconds when needed.
