The Fluke 1625 earth ground tester can perform all four types of earth ground measurement, with the added benefit of stakeless testing. This method can measure earth ground loop resistance using clamps (no need for stakes) and does not require the disconnection of ground rods. The product is available for rent from TechRentals.

The earth ground tester features automatic frequency control (AFC), which identifies existing interference and chooses a measurement frequency to minimise its effect, providing accurate earth ground values. R* measurement mode calculates earth ground impedance at 55 Hz to reflect the earth ground resistance that a fault-to-earth ground would identify.

The product comes in a kit that includes all appropriate accessories. It enables 3-and 4-pole fall-of-potential earth resistance loop testing; 4-pole soil resistivity testing; selective earth ground rod testing using one clamp; and stakeless earth ground rod testing using two clamps. It is IP56 rated for outdoor use and has adjustable limits for quick test result verification.
