The BW Technologies GasAlertMicroClip confined space 4-gas detector has been added to the TechRentals test and measurement rental fleet.

The gas detector is intended to warn personnel working in confined spaces of the presence of the most commonly encountered hazardous gases and combustibles.

Correct function of a gas detector is critical and the device is offered for rent with a calibration confirmation process being conducted before every new hire. This avoids the risk associated with a client’s own units being used when defective, due to malfunction or the accumulation of working environment contaminants. It also avoids users maintaining test gases with current certification.

The device is lightweight and compact with an integral concussion-proof boot for use in rugged environments.

It features: simple one-button operation; display and data logging of gas concentrations of H₂S, CO, CO₂ and combustibles; hazardous concentration alarms are indicated by display, alarm tone and a vibrating alarm for high noise areas; categories of alarm include - instant low and high alarm for all gases, TWA (time weighted average) and STEL short-term exposure limit) for H₂S, CO, and OL (over limit alarm); lithium polymer battery operation with a typical run time of 12 h with short recharge time.
