The Omicron CT analyser, available to rent from Tech Rentals, tests protection and metering CTs according to IEEE and IEC standards. It will measure phase-angle, ratio, winding resistance, excitation/saturation, residual magnetism as well as burden impedance. Results of the assessment are received as a ‘pass or fail’ decision within seconds due to the automated testing process.
The analyser measures all relevant CT parameters and compares them to the IEEE or IEC defined requirements. Its features include: field verification up to the 0.1 accuracy class; compact and lightweight (<8 kg); high noise immunity for on-site testing.
