The Megger DET4TCR2 kit is designed to measure soil resistivity, resistance of earth rods and other associated installations. It is available to rent from TechRentals.

This IP54-rated unit will measure earth voltage from 0 to 100 V, with user-selectable test frequencies and noise rejection to 40 V peak-to-peak (Vpp). Ground current measurements can be made from 1 mA to 20 A with automatic circuit checking functionality also available.

The kit comes with both ICLAMP and VCLAMP options, the former allowing for earth rod testing without the need for disconnection from the system. The VCLAMP option is used in conjunction with ICLAMP for stakeless measurements when driving auxiliary stakes is impractical.

Other features include: resistance range 0.01 to 20 kΩ; accuracy 2% ±3 digits; choice of two, three or four terminal measurements; meets EN61010-1 and CAT IV 100 V standards.
