Tradesman canopy recall

Friday, 12 August, 2016

The ACCC has announced a product recall on the Nissan D23 Navara Genuine Tradesman Canopy, saying that placement of window stoppers on the side and rear lift windows may cause the window to be out of alignment. This issue may cause the safety glass to shatter while opening or closing and therefore may pose an injury hazard.

The issue relates to some (not all) VIN numbers in the range of MNTC**D23A0000026 to MNTC**D23A0015265, sold nationally via authorised Nissan Dealers. Nissan says it will contact all affected owners, who will in turn be asked to contact their local Nissan Dealer to arrange for the window stoppers to be be replaced with an improved design. Rectification works will be at no cost to owners.
