Safety recall: protective eyewear

Wednesday, 25 March, 2015

3M Australia has issued a product recall on the Secure Fit Eyewear 200 Series SF201AF-AS Clear Lens, Anti-Fog Coating protective eyewear product. The eyewear is also a component of the 3M Asbestos/Dust Respirator Kit 7535.

The product may not provide impact resistance due to sporadic temple (arm) breakage issues, potentially causing eye injury.

Products affected are from Lot 14192 and sold nationally between 15 August 2014 and 15 March 2015. Consumers should check the eyewear plastic bag packaging for the affected Lot number, located on the bottom right corner of the packaging label below the barcode. Consumers should immediately cease using products that bear the Lot number 14192 marking, as well as those that cannot be identified but were purchased after 15 August 2014.

Items can be returned to the place of purchase for a full refund. For further information on 3M PPE safety, click here.
