Recall on Toyota Hiace van door glass

Friday, 15 January, 2016

The ACCC has issued a recall on passenger-side, front-door glass for Toyota Hiace manufactured by Xinyi Group (Glass Co Ltd).

The recall applies to product supplied by O’Brien Glass Industries and Avanti Windscreens installed between 6 August and 28 September 2015.

If broken, the glass may not meet fragmentation requirements of the ECE43 Standard because it will break into larger pieces than the standard requires. It represents a laceration injury hazard in the event of a glass break.

Affected consumers should contact O’Brien Glass on (02) 9795 3300 to arrange for rectification.
