Mercedes-Benz recalls Sprinter vans

Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific Pty Ltd

Thursday, 10 March, 2016

Mercedes-Benz Australia is advising a recall on Sprinter vans sold between 1 October and 30 November 2015. The product was sold nationally from authorised Mercedes-Benz dealers.

Some of these vehicles feature high-pressure fuel injector lines which may not have been manufactured to specification. This could lead to the formation of cracks in the fuel lines and subsequently result in fuel leakage. Fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source may potentially lead to a fire.

Affected customers should receive a letter direct from Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific Pty Ltd advising next steps.
