Be safe. Be healthy. Because... work health and safety doesn't end in October

Wednesday, 04 November, 2015

National Safe Work Month may have come to an end for 2015, but Safe Work Australia Chief Executive Officer Michelle Baxter is urging individuals and workplaces to continue to keep work health and safety top of mind throughout the year.

The theme this year was “Be safe. Be healthy. Because…” — deliberately left open so individuals and workplaces could add their own reasons for being safe and healthy at work.

“Workplaces need to continue to keep their reasons in mind to ensure work health and safety is not forgotten,” Baxter said.

“While National Safe Work Month puts a strong focus on work health and safety during October, it must remain a priority all year round. I encourage you to practise what you learn during National Safe Work Month, every month of the year.”
