Vision sensors for harsh environments

The PresencePlus P4 IP68-rated sealed Omni-vision sensor from Banner Engineering features a compact, yet durable, nickel-plated aluminium housing that can withstand demanding washdown conditions - as well as dust and debris common in harsh-duty environments - with the use of an integrated ring light or lens cover.

The P4 sealed Omni vision sensor performs repeatable-quality inspections in challenging automotive, assembly, food handling, printing, pharmaceutical and packaging applications, including label alignment inspection, colour verification and matching, flaw detection, 2D and 1D bar code reading, optical character reading and verification, fill level detection, drilled hole inspection, part or model identification and error proofing.

The sensors can be installed wherever shock and vibration might be a problem for general vision products and feature ethernet, serial, flexible discrete I/O interfaces and real-time video output. Images and results from inspections can be exported using the Microsoft ActiveX platform.
