Thermal current switch disconnectors

Monday, 01 December, 2008 | Supplied by: Kraus & Naimer Pty Ltd

The KF-switch series is the latest generation of thermal current switch disconnectors from Kraus & Naimer and is available in the 16-25 A thermal current range.

The modular system enables modules to be combined, exchanged or added in the field, as can the cam-operated auxiliary contacts. The position of the various modules in relation to each other can be defined by the user or, if preferred, preassembled in the factory.

The contact blocks feature rotating contact movement (instead of classical vertical lifting) that allows big contact gaps, forced opening and closing of contacts and up to 1000 V insulation voltage.

The devices can be configured so that lateral drive is possible (latching module not in the centre but on left- or right-hand side), while visible contacts (windows) are available on request.
