Schaffner RN series current compensated chokes
The Schaffner RN series current compensated chokes are suitable for lighting ballasts and power supplies for a wide range of lighting applications including LEDs, and low-pressure and high-pressure discharge lamps.
The chokes meet the requirements of EN 55015 which limits conducted emission to values of the order of 60 dBµV. They are suitable for the suppression of radiated interference. The chokes can be incorporated in effective mains filter designs, if the power supply or ballast does not readily meet emission standards. These filters can involve the use of X and Y capacitors. However, depending on circuit design, the chokes can be effective when used directly without additional components.
