Push-button light dimmers

Monday, 26 October, 2009 | Supplied by: Legrand Australia P/L

The HPM Legrand Push Button dimmer range includes a secondary (slave) mechanism that enables multi-way switching. No accompanying switches are required, so standard switches can be upgraded by simply exchanging one mechanism. This enables up to six dimmers to be installed on a standard six-gang plate.

The dimmers work with both electronic and iron core transformers and are suitable for incandescent lighting, 240 V halogen or dichroic lamps. They feature flicker- and noise-free operation, short-circuit and overload protection, soft start to increase lamp life and a maximum load of 450 W.

The simple one-touch on/off button is held down to increase or decrease lighting intensity, while a blue LED illuminates when the lighting is active and fades when the lighting is switched off.

The switch mechanisms are compatible with HPM Standard, Excel, Linea and Architectural Metal plates and are available in white, cream, black and matt silver, either as separate mechanisms or as plated models.
