PRO-M switchmode power supplies

Wednesday, 02 September, 2009 | Supplied by: Weidmuller Pty Ltd

The PRO-M range of switchmode power supplies provides a claimed 50% space saving over regular power supplies and no ventilation gap required between multiple units, enabling them to be installed into tight locations within switchboards or machines.

The universal input voltages range is from 85–264 VAC/80–370 VDC for single phase and 3 x 400–500 VAC/450–800 VDC for three phase. The three-phase versions can also be powered with only two phases connected.

The units feature a temperature range of -25 to +70 °C, parallel connection of up to five separate units for power sharing and an optional auctioneering diode module available for redundancy applications.

For power-critical areas, the 10, 20 and 40 A single-phase power variants offer a power factor of 0.98 – especially important where high power requirements necessitate total network power factor correction.

A power boost of 120% is provided for up to two minutes, to provide additional starting capacity to inductive and capacitive loads.
