Power transfer switch

Eaton has expanded its ePDU rack power distribution range with the 16 A single-phase Powerware eATS rackmounted automatic transfer switch.

The device automatically selects a source from its dual power inputs that is best suited to power-critical equipment. It continuously monitors both input sources and is designed for switching non-phase synchronised AC power, providing a fast transfer between sources to power-critical equipment without interruption, for high levels of redundancy to mission-critical applications.

The 1U form factor switch features built-in surge protection, ruggedised relays that meet agency spacing requirements for out-of-phase switching, while still fast enough to minimise transfer time and status LEDs to indicate ‘output on’, ‘primary and secondary sources available’ and ‘primary and secondary sources in use’.
