Power supplies with programmable output voltage

The Mean Well SPV range of single output power supplies with programmable output voltage function has been extended to the lower wattages of 150 and 300 W, with the introduction of the SPV-150 and SPV-300 series.

By adding 1-5.5 VDC external control signal, output voltage can be trimmed from 20 to 110% of the rated value.

Both units are high-frequency design and possess efficiency of up to 83% (SPV-150) and 86.5% (SPV-300). SPV-150 series can be cooled by free-air convection up to 40 °C under full-load condition, while SPV-300 is cooled by a built-in fan with fan ‘on/off’ control that can be operated up to 50 °C ambient temperature.

The devices feature a full-range input from 88 to 264 VAC, remote ‘on/off’ control, built-in active PFC function (PF >0.94), built-in potential meter for adjustment of -15% to +10% rated output voltage and protection for short-circuit, overvoltage, overload (constant current type) and overtemperature.

Applications include factory automation, mechanical and electrical installations or other applications where output voltage often needs to be adjusted.
