Power disturbance monitoring relay

Monday, 01 December, 2008 | Supplied by: Westek Electronics Pty Ltd

The PQube DIN rail-mountable power and disturbance monitoring relay captures voltage disturbances and time-stamped waveforms, storing captured information on a plug-in 4 GB SD card that provides exportable CSV Excel-compatible and GIF picture files via ethernet with email, DHCP, FTP and SNTP options.

Disturbance monitoring covers voltages ranging from 100 to 600 V at frequencies of 50, 60 and 400 Hz for single-phase, split-phase and three-phase delta- and star-connected circuits. Parameters analysed include dips, swells, sags, interruptions, waveform faults, frequency variations and impulse detection.

The relay can optionally monitor current and power utilising a maximum 20 A direct input or 1 and 5 A CT input. Other options include kW, kVAr, power factor and energy usage, harmonics and flicker. Additionally temperature and humidity probes may be connected for climate conditioning monitoring applications and the relay can be utilised in control schemes through DNP3 and Modbus protocol options.
