The PMC200 three-phase UPS is claimed to have an efficiency rate of 96% at full load and over 95% for partial loads to provide higher efficiencies, cost savings and availability for data centres.
The UPS provides up to 200 kW per rack or 250 kW/m2 of floor space. The modular, transformer-less system can be equipped with up to five UPS modules available in 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 32 and 40 kW outputs. This 'pay-as-you-grow' fine graduation enables organisations to only buy as much power as they need. To increase capacity, it can be retrofitted while still online.
The advent of technologies such as blade servers has shifted electrical loads from lagging to leading power factors, resulting in a potential de-rating of a traditional UPS. The PMC200 accommodates this shift by providing maximum output for electrical loads between 0.9 leading and 0.8 lagging power factor.
A 12-way power sub-distributor can be integrated directly in the UPS rack, allowing for fused connection of the server racks. 12 three-phase outputs are fused per phase via circuit breakers saving space and allowing the entire power supply in smaller installations to be housed in a single rack.
