The Sprecher+Schuh CEP seven C3 is the latest addition to the DeviceNet-ready, CEP series of electronic motor protection relays.

This relay adds external ground fault protection capabilities to the features of the C2, utilising core balanced transformers, allowing sensitive earth fault detection within the adjustment range of 20 mA to 5 A.

The relay also proactively assists in maintaining the electric motor by limiting the number of starts and motor operating hours. It also provides diagnostic and metering information to help identify consumption patterns for the motor or process by providing RMS current, percentage of full load current, current imbalance, thermal capacity utilisation and trip and warning logs.

The relay also measures current usage for an electric motor including L1, L2, L3 and average RMS current, L1, L2, L3 and average percentage full load amps, ground fault current and current unbalance.
