Metal-free safety shoes

Monday, 17 December, 2007 | Supplied by: Trading Downunder

The Spider safety shoes are completely metal-free, featuring a nonmetallic composite material which is much lighter than steel, is non-magnetic and does not conduct heat, cold or electricity.

They also include a non-metal Flex-System and an anti-perforation mid-sole in composite material, designed to prevent nails and sharp items piercing through the soles.

The upper is made of an ultra-breathable suede/fresh material, while the sole is anti-slip, anti-abrasive, and chemical, acid and fuel resistant. The footwear also features a shock absorber in the heel to reduce fatigue.

The shoes are suitable for a large variety of working environments, particularly for the transport industry and for individuals who travel or are often required to pass through security metal detectors.

The shoes are certified to Australian Standard AS/NZS 2210.3-2000 and are available in the traditional black leather styles, suede slip-on and sports joggers.
