Managed power controllers

The WTI MPC series of managed power controllers allows secure power management of rackmount equipment via web browser, external modem or local terminal interfaces. Power at each outlet can be remotely switched on or off individually, as a group for dual power supply servers or with a time delay.

The units monitor power to equipment and can automatically notify changes in current, temperature and circuit breaker status, as well as other factors that exceed user-defined threshold values. Total power usage on each circuit can be graphically displayed to show spikes or drops in current, voltage and temperature.

Users can be notified via email, SNMP, text message, LED or audible alarm.

Units can ping critical network appliances or servers and notify users or reboot a device when it detects a 'ping-no-answer' event.

Encryption and address-specific IP security masks prevent unauthorised access to command and configuration functions, with supervisor and non-supervisor levels of security. An audit trail feature records all user access, login and logout times and command actions.

Models available include MPC-8H-2 with eight outlets, MPC-16H-2 with 16 outlets and MPC-20V-2 with 20 power outlets. All models feature dual 16 A 240 VAC power circuits supporting up to 32 A per unit.

An optional remote front panel can be used to display the status of units that are installed in hard-to-reach spots within equipment racks. They can also be used to control up to three additional units via a serial RJ45 link, allowing access to all units from a single user interface.
