Lightweight connectors

Fischer Connectors has released the AluLite range of lightweight aluminium circular push pull connectors, which are significantly lighter than typical metal connectors.

Designed to withstand harsh conditions, the anodised aluminium alloy connectors feature 360° EMC shielding, up to IP68-rated sealing and temperature range of -50 to +150°C. Intended for use in frequent connect/disconnect applications, the plugs and receptacles are claimed to endure more than 5000 mating cycles.

Accepting cable diameters from 1.4 to 10.7 mm, the connector series is available in multi-pole from 2 to 27 pins with solder, PCB or crimp contacts and, on request, in coax, triax or hybrid contact configurations. The choice of body styles includes standard-sized or short plugs, push-pull locking mechanism or emergency release system, front projecting or flush receptacles, front or rear mounting models.

The connectors are available in a range of colours, from bright to camouflage shades, offering a flexible colour-coding system for a variety of applications.
