Interworld Electronics & Computer Industries VMR series managed power controllers

The high-current VMR series managed power controllers allow secure power management of rackmount equipment via IP, external modem or local terminal. Power at each outlet can be remotely switched on/off individually or as a group for dual power supply servers. Models are available in dual or single 20 A inputs and provide 8 or 16 individually controlled power outlets.

The controllers constantly monitor current, temperature levels and circuit breaker status at the network equipment rack. Total power usage on each outlet, group or branch circuit can be graphically displayed to report spikes or drops in current, voltage and temperature. If user-defined threshold levels are exceeded, the unit can promptly notify users via email, SNMP, Syslog, text message, LED or audible alarm.

Secure Shell (SSHv2) encryption, SSL web security, address-specific IP security masks and dual-level password protection prevent unauthorised access to command and configuration functions.
