Guardian Safety ArcPlus electric-arc protective garments

Monday, 15 March, 2010 | Supplied by: Guardian Safety Pty Ltd

The ArcPlus range of electric-arc protective garments is designed and manufactured in Australia, based on the NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety Requirements in the Workplace.

The garments are constructed using Indura UltraSoft 88% cotton and 12% high-tenacity nylon, a fabric that often exceeds Australian and international arc-flash protection standards.

The range includes coveralls, shirts, trousers, switching coats and hoods in a range of weights that meet varying levels of protection as defined in NFPA 70E.

Various colour combinations are also available that meet the requirements of AS 4602:1999 High Visibility Safety Garments in both ‘day/night’ and ‘day-only’ configurations.

As well as providing a high degree of protection against electric arc, the fabric also offers high levels of performance against such other hazards as ferrous metal splash, welding spatter and flash fire.

Manufacturing the garments in Australia enables the company to offer a speedy garment replacement service, as well as providing customised designs to suit the particular needs of end users throughout a wide variety of industries.
