Energy monitor

The Sentron PAC4200 multifunction power monitoring device is the latest addition to the Siemens Power Management offering for use in energy management systems.

Suitable for use in Modbus RS465 and Profibus DP networks, the device offers a standard 100 Mbps ethernet port with built-in Modbus gateway, enabling it to be used as a master to monitor up to 32 sub-devices without a repeater.

The device features a backlit screen configured to display specific two- or four-parameter values in either bargraph or printed values, ability to monitor up to 200 values and up to 12 limits available for setting over-range and undershoot.

To ensure set limits are maintained, it is supplied standard with two digital inputs and outputs, enabling the setting of alarms or limit value signalling.

An important feature of the device is its capability to measure and monitor harmful harmonics up to the 31st harmonic for both voltage and current, enabling true RMS measurement, which makes it particularly useful for monitoring power quality.
