Electrician’s installation and levelling tool
The Clip-Mate Pro has been designed to make the task of installing GPOs, switches, downlights and exhaust fans fast and accurate.
Manufactured from recycled ABS Repro plastic, the tool has templates, mark-outs, spacings and levels all moulded on it.
Designed for 200 mm centres, the tool helps avoid stud-work normally set at 600 mm spacing, for more intuitive set-out. Also, the extra spacing minimises crosstalk on data cabling, where power and data outlets are grouped together.
The tool features standard-size level bubbles, which can be replaced with a new bubble if damaged or dirty.
Fitting off ‘C’ clips, GPOs and switches simply involves measuring the centre of an outlet, aligning the three arrows on the tool with the location mark on the wall, levelling off, marking the top, bottom and two arcs of the level and cutting the hole.
A similar process applies to marking out downlights and 200 and 250 mm ceiling exhaust fans.
The levels can also be clipped together to form two or more gangs for multiple outlets in the same location.
