The Vicor DC-DC 28 VDC input family has been expanded with the addition of eight wide-input Micro DC-DC converters.

The models have nominal output voltages ranging from 3.3 to 48 VDC and a maximum power of 100 W (50 W at 3.3 Vout and 5 Vout and 100 W at 12, 15, 24, 28, 36 and 48 Vout).

Applications for the modules include 12 and 24 V commercial battery systems in vehicles and rolling stock to power lighting, communications, portable test equipment, displays and control systems.

With a claimed efficiency of up to 82%, the converters operate from 28 V nominal input with an input range of 9 to 36 V. The models are available in four environmental grades — with operating temperatures as low as -55 °C, six pin options and three base-plate options.
