Clipsal C-Bus Infinity high-powered modular dimming channel cards

Expanding the C-Bus Infinity high-powered dimmers is a range of modular dimming channel cards.

The cards are available with current ratings ranging from 3 to 20 A, with selected cards utilising either leading-edge or universal dimming technology, while a ballast control card provides selectable 0-10 V, DSI or DALI control output along with a relay output. The C-Bus Infinity dimmers are produced in 3, 6 and 12 channel models. Channel cards can be mixed and interchanged.

Leading-edge 3 and 5 A channel cards use Triac-based switching technology, while leading-edge 10, 16 and 20 A channel cards use dual SCR-based switching technology. The universal channel cards use dual MOSFET-based technology. All cards use phase-control techniques to provide efficient dimming while maintaining precise control.

Cards can be mixed together in a single dimmer, if required, to permit wider flexibility in rating the whole dimmer. Each card has individual overload protection and is capable of sustaining full fault current. The cards also carry an individual load bypass switch, completely bypassing all electronics and allowing the load to be forced on.

Installers can upgrade dimmers in the field without disturbing the wiring, allowing for easy repair if needed.
