Rugged edge UPS line launched
The newly launched Vertiv Liebert ITA2 uninterruptible power supply (UPS) edge computing solution has been launched in Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
It comes in 5–10 kVA and 16–20 kVA capacities, and is designed for a range of IT and non-IT applications.
The technology and engineering that comes with the Liebert ITA2 provides comprehensive power protection at a low cost of ownership. The solution has passed various environmental tests in extremely harsh conditions and is proven to withstand high and low temperatures. In addition, the Liebert ITA2 is dust and moisture resistant, as well as high altitude certified and seismic certified, providing industrial-grade power protection.
The ruggedness of the Liebert ITA2 is suitable for applications at the edge — whether it is a bank office, a hospital clinic or a retail branch — as well as industrial facilities such as manufacturing, rail networks and marine deployments that require round-the-clock power protection for maximum availability.
“At Vertiv, we understand that customers now require more than just the basic level of power protection for their critical systems,” said Andy Liu, director of small and micro UPS and converged solutions at Vertiv in Asia.
“They now need solutions that are able to operate even when exposed to harsh elements. This is particularly true in several areas in Asia where temperatures can reach high levels, increasing risks of outages. The Liebert ITA2 is designed with this in mind with its rugged design and small footprint.”
The Liebert ITA2 is a fully digital, double conversion UPS solution that offers efficiency of up to 96.3% over a wide range of load conditions, resulting in significant cost savings. It has a power factor (PF) of 1.0, delivering more power than standard UPS solutions. Its compact design allows for seamless integration into various IT environments and integrated security features alert users of any critical issues for immediate response time.
“The Liebert ITA2 is one of the new products we are adding into our portfolio to address the growing needs of higher efficiency and reliable product in the IT and non-IT applications across many market segments in Asia,” said Chee Hoe Ling, vice president for products and solutions and marketing, Vertiv in Asia.
