Product recall — Schneider Electric 230DRAS1MI and 230DRAS2MI Meter Boxes
A product recall has been issued on the Schneider Electric 230DRAS1MI and 230DRAS2MI Meter Boxes.
The 4CB163/6 meter isolator fitted in the 230DRAS Meter Box may have the incorrect screw fitted on the lockout plate, causing electrical contact between the screw and metal bobbin assembly. A screw on the side of the meter isolator may be electrically live. There is a risk of electric shock if contact is made with this screw.
The affected product was sold to and available for purchase from electrical wholesalers in South Australia between January 2015 and July 2015 (inclusive).
Clipsal by Schneider Electric is urging wholesalers to check their stock for affected product and review sales and installations that may have used affected product. Where affected product has been identified, it should be returned immediately to the place of purchase. If product is already installed and cannot be returned then Clipsal by Schneider Electric should be contacted for further details about rectification.
