Call for sparkies after Cyclone Jasper
Ergon Energy is calling for electricians to help the utility safely restore power to Queenslanders impacted by Tropical Cyclone Jasper by Christmas.
While the utility’s crews are working hard to reconnect cyclone victims, they can’t do it alone.
If a home or business has been damaged by the cyclone or flooding, the owners need a licensed electrician to check it’s safe before reconnection — especially if the switchboard has been submerged or if the safety switch has tripped.
Sparkies in the region can help by jumping on Facebook and commenting on this post — letting people know they are available to carry out the safety check.
