HARTING Han Q High Density rectangular connector

The HARTING Han Q High Density rectangular connector for signal contacts delivers the highest contact density in the compact Han 3A size range. 21 D-Sub contacts are used, of which one is designed as a leading contact.

It is not always enough for the interface to be dust-, dirt- and waterproof - it must also be easy to handle in challenging ambient conditions. So the Han Q High Density must be a signal connector for environments in which gloves are worn, which is not possible with the conventional D-Sub connector. The connector meets this requirement because it can be used in all housing models of the HARTING Han 3A size. The range of housing types comprises metal and plastic housings for use in interior and exterior environments, EMC housings for high screening attenuation applications and stainless steel housings for extreme requirements such as those typical of the food industry, for example.

The connector (both AC and DC modes) operates in the safety extra-low-voltage field, ie, at 50 VAC and 120 VDC. The current load capacity depends to a great extent on the contacts and cables employed. With regard to turned D-Sub contacts for 0.56 mm2, the current load capacity is 40°C and approx 6.5 A.
