LED area light saves RSL Club 'loads' of energy
Sunday, 01 June, 2014
Following the completion of trials at Currumbin RSL Club on the Gold Coast, the club projects that retrofitting the Zorro area light in the club’s outdoor car park areas could save up to 58% in energy costs.
The Currumbin RSL outdoor car park installation was project managed by energy service company NuGreen Solutions. A lighting design for the replacement of 400 W mercury vapour lights with 165 W Zorro LED area lights (including a double-header bracket mounted onto existing poles) was produced by Enlighten Australia for NuGreen Solutions.
The client was looking to trial LED lighting and this proved to be the perfect example where the test could be run alongside their current lights.
The Zorro LED area light range (35-230 W) IES files and photometric reports can be downloaded here.
