Switch disconnectors

The KF-series of switch disconnectors features unusually large isolation distances and offers high AC-23A motor ratings. It covers the range from 16 to 32 A and offers disconnect capability of up to 1000 V according to IEC 947. The rotary contact system incorporated in a new type of modular contact block allows high mechanical life expectancy and precise and reliable contact making. The innovative modular system is both simple and very safe while offering enormous flexibility. 1-9 pole on-off switches and 1-4 pole changeover switches can easily be assembled from these building blocks.

All available modules can be combined, exchanged or added in the field, as can the very precisely working cam-operated auxiliary contacts. The position of the various modules in relation to each other can be defined by the user or, if preferred, preassembled in the factory. The same modules can be used for panel and base mounting, minimising the need for high inventory levels and saving money. In the future contact modules with different terminal or contact technology (cage clamp, IDC terminals or knife contacts for DC applications) can be added easily and quickly. Visible contacts (with an additional window) are available on request.

A further innovative feature of the KF series is that the switch units can not only be removed from DIN track with a flat blade screwdriver, but also removed with a plus/minus or Phillips type screwdriver.
