ReluxDesktop 2026.2 professional lighting design software

RELUX has expanded its ReluxDesktop 2026.2 software with key Australian and New Zealand standards for interior, emergency, road and obtrusive lighting. ReluxDesktop is professional lighting design software for standards-compliant planning and can be used worldwide. It supports lighting designers, electrical planners and architects in the planning and simulation of artificial light, daylight and sensors.

The software can be used to plan individual rooms, entire storeys, industrial buildings and outdoor areas such as car parks, sports facilities and roads within one integrated 2D and 3D environment. It supports national and international standards, CAD and BIM workflows, and clear calculation outputs for project documentation.

For Australia and New Zealand, ReluxDesktop provides the relevant standards and assessment criteria directly within the software, helping lighting professionals translate regional requirements efficiently into lighting concepts and project documentation.

The relevant AS/NZS standards and assessment criteria are included by default in the current version of ReluxDesktop and do not require separate installation. They can be selected directly for areas and rooms and documented in the calculation outputs.

The following standards are integrated: AS/NZS 1680 series — Interior and workplace lighting; AS/NZS 2293.1:2026 — Emergency lighting and exit signs for buildings, Part 1: System design, installation and operation; AS/NZS 1158 series Lighting for roads and public spaces; and AS/NZS 4282:2023 — Control of the obtrusive effects of outdoor lighting.

AI features in the ReluxDesktop 2026.2 update include AI image generation, and conversion of 2D plans and images into editable 3D room data.
