SEW-Eurodrive two- and six-pole variant DR motors
Two- and six-pole variants have been added to the energy-efficient DR motor series, complementing the four-pole DR motor varieties. This enables more precise matching of gear ratios to a wider range of end-user applications.
Two-pole motors are suitable for high-speed applications such as fans or pumps, and the slower operating speed of six-pole motors can be leveraged to circumvent the need for a multistage gear unit.
The two-pole motor option is offered in outputs of 0.25 to 9.2 kW, while the six-pole motor is available from 0.18 to 5.5 kW. Both options are available in IE2-class DRE (high efficiency) and IE3-class DRP (premium efficiency) motor variants, and are designed to exceed the efficiency requirements of IEC60034-30 and AS 1359.5.
The compact motors are available in a variety of form factors, including a choice of up to three different brake sizes per motor size and various onboard inverter options.
Rated up to IP66, the series can be supplied with a selection of features and mounting alternatives. Additional flexibility can be obtained via various incremental and absolute encoders, and a built-in encoder.
