PowerFlex variable speed drive range

The PowerFlex 4M AC variable speed drive range is the latest and smallest generation of Allen-Bradley motor control devices, designed for quick and easy panel installation and programming, in particular for retrofit projects where simple 'volts-per-hertz' speed control is required for applications such as food processing and packaging, machine tools, pumps and palletising.

The device is available in power ratings of 0.2 to 11 kW and voltage classes of 120, 240 and 480 V, in three frame sizes.

All models feature feed-through 'top and bottom' wiring to allow easy change-out with contactors when retrofitting, eliminating the need for panel rewiring.

In addition, the two smaller frame sizes offer simple DIN rail mounting for speedy installation without the need for drilling.

All three frame sizes feature 'zero stacking', which saves panel space by eliminating the space between drives in applications with ambient temperatures up to 40°C.

For ease of information sharing and set-up, integral RS485 communications enable the drives to be used for simple network applications. Alternatively, an IP66-rated remote or IP20-rated handheld LCD keypad provides additional programming flexibility.
