The DIR-TX8 infrared transmitter is designed to provide cost-effective integration and control of all types of infrared-controllable devices, such as AV equipment.

The transmitter features eight individually controllable outputs using 3.5 mm stereo jacks that accept stereo and mono plugs, an IR input used for learning and saving unknown IR codes, RS485 DyNet serial input port, AUX programmable dry contact input, service switch, diagnostic LED and IR Transmit/Learn LED.

User-friendly PC software is used to program the transmitter with common IR codes from the supplied library. Multiple IR codes can be arranged into macros and played back at any time with a single DyNet command.

An internal PLC that supports all Philips Dynalite script commands is also included.
